Privacy Policy

Private by default

Every story, photo and recording you add to Chấp Bút is private by default — visible only to your account. Nothing automatically makes your family’s stories public. Adding a story to the Childhood Library is always a choice you make yourself, one story at a time.

Information we collect

Account information: your email and password, or — if you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook — some basic account information that sign-in provider shares, to support authentication and your account.

Content your family provides: stories you write or tell, photos and recordings you upload, and information about family members you choose to add.

Signing in with Google or Facebook

If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, Chấp Bút may receive some basic account information shared by that sign-in provider, to support authentication and your account. This information does not automatically become your family’s public name or image. If you choose to publish a story, the public display name (if any) is one you set yourself in Settings — entirely separate from the account you sign in with.

AI-assisted writing and illustration

Chấp Bút offers a few optional AI features that you actively choose to use — such as turning a voice recording into text, asking Chấp Bút to help write a story from the memory you told, creating an illustration from a family photo, translating a story, reading a story aloud, or viewing a story’s Insight analysis. When you use one of these features, the content that task needs (a recording, story text, or a photo) is sent to a third-party AI service provider to perform it, and the result is returned to Chấp Bút. When you ask Chấp Bút to help write a story, a few small processing steps (such as refining formatting, or checking the draft against the original memory) automatically happen right after, as part of that same action — these are not separate AI features you need to turn on. Using AI does not change a story’s privacy — an AI-assisted story stays private, like any other, until you choose to publish it.

When you publish a story

Before an edited story is published, Chấp Bút automatically reviews the content once — sending it to the same kind of third-party AI service mentioned above — to help catch sensitive private details before the story goes into the Childhood Library. This is an automatic check built into the publishing process, not a separate AI feature you turn on. When you add a story to the Childhood Library, Chấp Bút creates a separate public snapshot of it at that moment. Later private edits to the original story do not automatically change what was published — you update or remove the public copy yourself when you want to change it. You can unpublish a story at any time.

Original photos and private content

Having AI features does not mean your original photos or private content become public. Original photos and private content are always protected by access rules that verify you are the owner before allowing access. Related content only leaves Chấp Bút as part of the operations described above — when you actively use an AI feature, or when the system automatically reviews content before publishing.

Cookies

Chấp Bút uses a small number of cookies needed for the app to work: keeping you signed in between visits, remembering your chosen interface language, and remembering the story you last opened for convenience. These are not behavioral-tracking or advertising cookies, and Chấp Bút does not currently use any third-party analytics or tracking tool.

Children in your stories

Chấp Bút is used by parents or guardians to keep memories of their children. There is currently no separate child account — a child appears only as a subject of a story that a parent or guardian creates and manages.

Your choices

You can edit your family information, change your password, delete a story, or unpublish a story you’ve published — all inside the app. If you want to request deletion of your account data, see the Data Deletion page.
